    Management Association of Nepal (MAN) was established in 1979 as the apex body of the management professionals with active support of the corporate sector in Nepal. Being a national non-profit and non-partisan membership-based professional organization, MAN has been an important forum for developing management professionalism and a performance-oriented as well as socially responsible work culture in the country. It has a strong membership base of over 2500 individuals and 250 institutions from different disciplines and sectors of Nepalese economy and society. 

     

    MAN is one of the founding members of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO). It has also close links with a number of well-known professional bodies like the American Management Association (AMA), All India Management Association (AIMA) and North India Management Association (NIMA). These linkages help MAN to have access to information on the best management practices and techniques available in the other parts of the world. Management Association of Nepal (MAN) is looking for creative, dynamic, self-motivated and result oriented candidates for the following positions.

     

    RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR ( 1)

     

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Promote the scientific activities, research work and capacity of MAN both in the Nepal and overseas consulting with Executive Director
    • Identify sponsorship and grant opportunities and liaise with existing and potential donors
    • Prepare proposals for donor funding and sub-contracts in collaboration with partners
    • Assist in the management of all donors funded and contract-based projects
    • Oversee, renew and develop in-country collaborations
    • Monitor and evaluate project research activities
    • Promote the company and project activities and capability to potential collaborators, sponsors, partners, academic institutions and the scientific community
    • Initiate and participate in Nepal and in-country activities promoting MAN’s research, such as conferences and scientific meetings

     

    Requirements

    • Master in Business Administration/ Development Management/Sociology with a specialization in Project Management (Advanced Master Degree would be preferable)
    • At least 3 years of working experience with NGOs/INGOs/Government agencies in development sector in a leading role, Record of published peer review paper (at least one), Academic experience would be a plus point
    • Writing and editing reports, presentation skills
    • Good knowledge of desk based and primary research
    • Good Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis software such as SPSS/STATA
    • Managing a team of staff, experts and resources
    • Fund-raising through government and non-government agencies
    • Ability to work with limited supervision, and to be a proactive team member.

     

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1)

     

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Promote the organization and its activities and capability to potential collaborators, sponsors, partners, academic institutions and the scientific community
    • Conduct market research and analyze the results to prepare marketing plan in coordination with Executive Director
    • Update spreadsheets, and databases with statistical, financial and other relevant information
    • Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns 
    • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations to sponsors/funding agencies
    • Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
    • Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
    • Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships

     

    Requirements

    • Master in Business Studies/Administration or any relevant field
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar position will be an added value 
    • Proven experience in successful implementation of a wide range of responsibilities in a prior job 
    • Managing a team of staff, experts and resources
    • Fund-raising through government and non-government agencies
    • Ability to work with limited supervision, and to be a proactive team member.
    • Good presentation skills 
    • Good working knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali 

     

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT CUM RECEPTIONIST (1)

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of marketing, sales and finance 
    • Perform office administrative work such as; answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
    • Carry out general administrative and clerical task, prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
    • Visit different governmental and non-governmental organizations, banks and communicating with vendors etc. in close coordination with marketing/admin/finance department
    • Store completed documents in designated locations
    • Assist in logistics management for meeting/workshop/training
    • Any tasks assigned by supervisor
    • Comply with data integrity and security policies

     

    Requirements

    • Master in Business Studies/Administration or any relevant field
    • 1-2 Years of working experience in similar capacity, however fresher also encouraged to apply
    • Team player and with pleasant personality
    • knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
    • Good computer skill in MS office, Internet surfing and email 
    • Good communication skills both in oral and writing in English and Nepali
